SUMMARY:The 2024 Styberg Preaching Institute Workshop: Preaching and AI
DESCRIPTION:This workshop is designed for preachers and ministry leaders interested in exploring the intersection of artificial intelligence and preaching. Participants will be guided by Reverend Jesus Rodriguez-Cortes to understand the fundamental concepts of AI and its relevance in ministry. Throughout the two days\, participants will be able to gain practical skills using AI tools for sermon preparation\, multimedia production\, and community engagement. In addition to leaving the workshop with a personalized plan for integrating AI tools into their preaching practices\, they will have developed a critical perspective on the ethical implications of using AI in Ministry. \n the workshop leader: \nRev. Rodriguez-Cortes has 30 years of experience in the Telecommunications Industry\, covering a broad spectrum of technologies. He is accomplished in network design and operation including integrating AI in process and quality management and has had charge of educational events for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Puerto Rico for many years. An accomplished teacher and leader\, his close familiarity with cutting edge technology associated with AI for industry and the church makes him an ideal leader for this workshop. \n\nREGISTRATION: REQUIRED (There is no charge for the workshop) \nATTENDANCE: In-person and Online \n
