DESCRIPTION:Commencement Ceremony\nLocation: Alice Millar Chapel\nAddress: 1870 Sheridan Road\, Evanston\nTime: 9:00-11:00am \nWe’ re honored to announce that Dr. Eboo Patel will be the speaker for the commencement ceremony. Eboo Patel is a civic leader who believes that religious diversity is an essential and inspiring dimension of American democracy. Named “one of America’s best leaders” by U.S. News and World Report\, Eboo is Founder and President of Interfaith America\, the leading interfaith organization in the United States. Under his leadership\, Interfaith America has worked with governments\, universities\, private companies\, and civic organizations to make faith a bridge of cooperation rather than a barrier of division.  \nEboo served on President Obama’s Inaugural Faith Council\, has given hundreds of keynote addresses\, and has written five books\, including We Need to Build: Field Notes for Diverse Democracy. He is an Ashoka Fellow and holds a doctorate in the sociology of religion from Oxford University\, where he studied on a Rhodes scholarship. Eboo lives in Chicago with his wife\, Shehnaz\, and their two sons. \nReception\nLocation: Rector Terrace (weather permitting) and Loder Hall\nAddress: 2121 Sheridan Road\, Evanston\nTime: Immediately following Commencement \n  \nPARKING \nThe small lot on Garrett Place will be reserved for the Board of Trustees meeting\, but open for all access after the Commencement ceremony on Friday\, May 17. We recommend street parking\, Northwestern lots\, and City of Evanston lots: \n\nNorthwestern University parking map is available here.\n\nParking Lot 118 (just south of Garrett visitor lot)- park from 8am-4pm w/o ticket enforcement. All lots free after 4pm- Do not park in Reserve spaces\, you will be ticketed. \nPark Lots 222\, 224\, 225 (just south of Alice Millar) park from 8am-4pm w/o ticket enforcement.\n\n\nStreet Parking\n\nFree 2-hour parking until 6pm (Follow additional signage rules\, if applicable) \n\n\nCity of Evanston parking map is available here. Note that Church Street Self Park is conveniently located at Church St and Chicago Ave near the Commencement Ceremony. It is only $6 to park up to 5 hours.
