SUMMARY:Wisdom Circle at SBL and AAR
DESCRIPTION:The Garret Collective and the Center and Library for the Bible and Social Justice (CLBSJ) in collaboration with the Church of the Covenant invite all justice-oriented scholars attending the SBL/AAR Conference in Boston\, and all Boston-area activists and faith leaders\, to come together for a “Wisdom Circle.” A potluck-style vegan dinner will be served! \nRight now we urgently need to gather together the clarity within our scriptural traditions\, the innovations forged by our scholarly conversations\, and the grounded knowledge emerging from our grassroots movements\, to help guide us in the work to come. Join us in Boston to weave another chapter of this critical work! At 7pm\, we will convene at Church of the Covenant with Boston activists and people of faith to share and forge useable theology for this urgent time.
