SUMMARY:International Students Tax Filing Support Workshop
DESCRIPTION:International students are invited to join a tax filing support workshop facilitated by Garrett Trustee Tom Scott and his colleague Bev Thurber. The session will begin with a general presentation on tax topics plus Q&A (12-1 pm)\, followed by facilitated time to complete state and federal tax returns (1-2 pm). International students are also welcome to drop-in between 2-5 pm for tax related individual questions or situations needing detailed discussion. Please RSVP if you plan to be present for lunch from 12-1 pm.

DESCRIPTION:All Garrett students are invited to drop by in person or online for a hybrid Let’s Talk Careers Open House on Tuesday\, March 17 (12 – 4 pm) in Main 205 and online. The Open House will have 4 stations geared towards personal and vocational formation and career guidance support: \n\nResume & Cover Letter Writing support (in person and online): All students are invited to bring in draft resumes and cover letters\, and Garrett staff will be on hand to provide guidance and feedback in real time.\n\nDiscernment Conversations (in person and online): All students can drop by to engage staff in discernment conversations on potential job opportunities in the Church\, higher education\, the non-profit sector\, clinical counseling centers\, non-traditional ministry pathways etc.\n\nProfessional Headshots (in person only): Students who would like to have a professional headshot taken can do so free of cost. Marketing & Communications staff will be available to provide this service.\n\nGratitude Corner (in person and online): Part of career advancement is fostering connections and deepening networks. All students are invited to write a thank you note to Garrett partners and friends who make theological education and personal and vocational formation opportunities like these accessible to everyone.\n\nRSVP is highly recommended so we can prepare accordingly.
