DESCRIPTION:Join us for pizza and conversation on Queerness\, Religion\, and Politics in Post-Independence Zimbabwe. \nRev. Dr. John Chawarika\, MAPCC second-year student\, will facilitate the discussion and examine judgmental and negative attitudes towards LGBTQ+ communities influenced by both religious and political circles. This presentation and conversation will show how pastoral care can play an important role in healing relationships and promoting integration of queer communities into the mainstream society of post-independence Zimbabwe.  \nThe point of these conversations is to inform\, educate\, and discuss international issues that do not always get media attention in the US. The entire Garrett community is welcome to participate! This event will be held both in-person and online. \n
