As a part of the the 3rd Annual James H. Cone and Emilie M. Townes lecture events, the Garrett community is invited to a lunch and lecture with Dr. Michele E. Watkins on March 19, 2026 at 12:00 PM-1:30 PM CT.
Join us for a Lunch and Learn featuring Garrett alum Dr. Michele E. Watkins, Assistant Professor of Theology and Religious Studies at St. John’s University. Dr. Watkins will deliver a lecture titled “Perversions of Pride & Virtue: Racial Narcissism, Misogyny, and the Sin of Unworthiness.”
This promises to be a rich and generative conversation at the intersection of theology, race, and moral formation. All are welcome.
